Do you do custom shoots?
Yes we absolutely do!
One of our expert aerial photographers will arrive at the location of your choice for your specified shoot time, this could be dictated by the weather and sun patterns you are looking to capture (like a sunset or sunrise). Some of our customers most commonly requested locations including beach houses and rural properties, or a favourite beach location. Please get in contact in advance for a quote and to chat about what you're after! Custom shoot's start at $199.
What imagery do you receive from a custom shoot?
Throughout your package timeframe, we will take an unlimited amount of portrait and wide angle photos. From the large selection gathered we will edit a set of images that best captures the nuances and beauty of your chosen location, provided as digital downloads and prints dependant on your package and wishes.
I have an odd photography request – what should I do?

What is the difference between high res and low res digital downloads?
Our lower resolution downloads are recommended for online purposes, such as on websites, as wallpapers or on social media (don’t forget to tag us!).High resolution prints are used for larger scale printing. If you are wanting to organise your own printing and framing then you will need to purchase a high res download, or we can take care of this for you! High resolution prints are also available for commercial use!
Are you insured and licensed?
Our aerial photographers are fully qualified through CASA and have studied and completed their RePL. We also have Public Liability Insurance! Avery Aerial Photography also operates under its own ReOC.
Why should I hire a licensed drone operator?
There are many rules around flying drones due to sharing airspace. We have the highest licensing available for a drone operator and business operator. This means that when you hire Avery Aerial Photography you can expect safety and legally operating are our first priorities. If you are hiring a drone photographer for commercial gain I would advise that you check their credentials before you begin.
What are the rules for flying drones?
You must not fly your drone:
Higher than 120 m (400 ft) above ground level — that's about the height of a 35-storey building or length of a football field
Closer than 30 m to people — other than those helping to fly or navigate your droneover
Or above people at any time or height
In a way that creates a hazard to another person, aircraft or property
Near emergency situationsin prohibited or restricted airspace (use a CASA-approved drone safety app to help you)closer than 5.5 km to a controlled aerodrome or airfield (usually those with a control tower).
